TODAY I AM GRATEFUL FOR ...

1.  I baked some very successful sourdough bread -- starting to get engaged with cooking again now that it's a bit cooler and I'm more settled in the new kitchen
2.  A surprise: a star jasmine and a gardenia from the plant elves (???) 
3.  We've been doing some prep for the winter quarantine that I'm afraid we'll be experiencing, so we're in better shape this time with pantry and sundries, and with expectations 
4.  Take-out from a new place: MVP Grill.  Tasty and we will definitely order from them again.
5.  And the foghorns are blaring again
